The Ceremony is mainly reciting 『Lotus Sutra˙Chapter 25 - The Universal Gate of Bodhisattva Guanyin』 which includes willow branch pure water praise anthem, the purifying body, speech and mind three karma mantra, commencing sutra gatha, the sutra of《Pu Mng Ping》 (《普門品》,《The Chapter of the Universal Gate》), the mantra of Guanyin manifestation, the Great Compassion mantra, Guanyin gatha, antiphonal chants, alternate prostration, the three Refuges and transfer of merit.

By means of the resonant force of Buddhist hymns resulted from group recitation at the Ceremony, the「Miaou Yin Guan Sher Yin, Fun Yin Hai Zhou Yin」 (「妙音觀世音，梵音海潮音」)，Bodhisattva Guanyin’s (Avalokitesvara) name and the sutra of the「The Universal Gate Chapter」 continuously echoes within one’s mind which enables one to learn about the moral conduct of Bodhisattva Guanyin’s compassion. Through the continuous showers of pure dew, which is the transformation of the power of Buddisattva Guanyin’s compassionate vow, one eradicates and rids oneself of the vexations of greed, hatred and ignorance, resulting from all of the difficulties one encounters during daily living.
